SEO Blogroll
This plugin / widget substitutes the default “Links” widget. If you are a SEO specialist, you already know how much important is the rel=”nofollow” attribute in outgoing links. If you are not: links passes part of the PageRank the page has gained to their destinations. Do not let the blogroll section wasting it by donating your pagerank to external sites.
Once installed, under “Settings” -> “SEO Blogroll” you can create how many link boxes you like, each with its own title. Every link box can contain how many links you like. For each link, you can decide if it should have the nofollow attribute or not.
Once your links are ready disable the traditional “Links” widget in “Appearace” -> “Widgets” and activate the new SEO Blogroll.
If your theme supports widgets, you don’t need to change a single line of code, just install the plugin and start using it!
Installation
- Unzip and upload ’seo-blogroll’ directory to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory

Developed and tested on Wordpress 2.7
Enhancements / todo list

hi. Thanks for plugin
perfect.
@tim
Tim, I think your server has an old php version, like 4.x
To solve the problem delete the “public ” instruction on lines 43, 232, 264.
Let me know if it works.
I just downloaded and installed this plugin, and when I tried going to the Installed Plugins to activate it, it got this error.
Error 500 - Internal server errorWhen I deleted your plugin from the server, the error went away.
BTW, baron there is a bot that puts that message on every plugin comment thread to get link juice. Works pretty well, he has a PR of 4.
@Tom B.
LOL @baron! I know, that’s why any outgoing link in comments / trackbacks have the nofollow attribute ;)
Do you know the php version your server is running? 4.x or 5.x? The plugin is developed with php5 or higher syntax.
@devu
I have PHP 4 something or other. I really wish you developers would put minor details like “requires PHP 5″ someplace on the 3 pages of information WP gives you for plugins. It would really save a lot of time for everybody.
Thanks for your time.
Your web page does not correctly work in safari browser
@EmipHoopite
Never actually tried with safari, you should upgrade to firefox while I check it :P
Thanks
i found this plugin finally. 10k yo so much
GOOD, thanks.
This is very innovative plugin. I am going to write about this plugin on my blog.
Thanks for plugin
Problem is that I can use the widget only one time, but I have multiple sidebar (frontpage, single view). Is there a fix so that I can use the blogroll on both sidebars?
Nope. I didn’t think about multiple boxes in different places but just about different categories. You can tweak with styles and make “categories” look like different boxes but just one after the other.
