Run a Pay Per Click Campaign: Google AdWords day 2
The campaign has run for a day or so, what’s happened? The ads have been shown both in search results and content network. With 10 euro of daily budget, I got 271 clicks. Straight to the point: how many conversions? Zero.
First thing to do: click on “Opportunities for improvement” in the campaign home page. On the first step, Adwords suggests different ads versions (no final slash on the displayed url). On the second step, AdWords suggests more keywords, this time more related to the ad and the destination page then the ones suggested when creating the ad. I chose the ones that could bring users actually interested in what I am promoting, not too general.
Second thing to do: check bid prices. Keywords I am interested in the most, are the most expensive: 1 to 4 euro per click. Unfortunately I can’t afford them but anyway I increased my bid for “wordpress search engine optimization” that is my most important keyword.
Finally: to increase the conversion rate I should… hmm I’ll say this in the last post :)
